The fine tuning of aromatic residues of a designed short peptide amphiphile leads to a pair of constitutional isomers. Interestingly, in the presence of copper metal ions, one of the isomer self-assembled into vertically stacked terraced layers with decreasing size that resemble to nanodome-like structures.
